Cookie Policy
Effective 1 June 2026 · The Rants Network Ltd
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember who you are between page loads and visits. This policy explains which cookies the Rants Network uses and why.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
We set one essential session cookie (rants_dev during development; a named session cookie in production) that keeps you logged in as you move between pages. This cookie is essential to the service — without it you would be logged out on every page. It cannot be disabled. It does not track you across other websites.
3. Analytics cookies
We use privacy-preserving analytics, provided via Vercel, to understand which pages are used and where the site needs improvement. These cookies do not use third-party tracking pixels, do not share data across sites, and are not used for advertising. You can opt out of analytics at any time in your account settings, or by choosing "Essential only" in the cookie banner shown on your first visit.
4. What we don't use
We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or cookies that build an advertising profile of you. We do not sell or share cookie data with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Managing your preferences
A cookie consent banner is shown on your first visit, where you can accept or decline analytics cookies. Your choice is stored for 12 months. You can also clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. Clearing the essential session cookie will log you out.
6. Changes to this policy
If we add new categories of cookies, we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent again via the cookie banner. For questions about this policy, see our Privacy Policy or contact dpo@rantsnetwork.com.
